MACAC has three major fundraising events each year – Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community, Charity Golf Outing, and Community Recognition Celebration. The proceeds from these events help support all of MACAC’s programs and services.

The Mount Ararat Community Activity Center (MACAC) is proud to participate in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community, an annual fundraising walk that supports vital health and human service organizations across the Pittsburgh region. This event aligns perfectly with MACAC’s mission to strengthen families, promote wellness, and provide essential resources that help our community thrive.
The Highmark Walk is especially impactful because 100% of the funds raised go directly to MACAC. Highmark underwrites all event costs, ensuring that every dollar donated supports our programs and services for children, families, seniors, and individuals in need.

Each year, the Mount Ararat Community Activity Center (MACAC) proudly hosts its Annual Community Recognition Celebration, an inspiring event that honors distinguished individuals who have made a meaningful and lasting impact on our community. This special occasion brings together community members, partners, and supporters to recognize leaders whose dedication, service, and vision have helped strengthen families and improve lives.
The 2026 Community Recognition Celebration will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 at the LeMont Restaurant. This year we are honored to recognize Janis Burley, William Generett, Esq., Dr. MaCalus V. Hogan, Michelle McMurray, and Morton D. Stanfield, Jr.
The Community Recognition Celebration is more than an evening of recognition—it is also an opportunity to support MACAC’s mission and ensure the continued delivery of vital programs and services.
