Computer Technology Center

The Mount Ararat Community Activity Center’s (MACAC) Computer Technology Center is a valuable resource designed to expand digital access and build essential technology skills within the community. MACAC provides program participants and community members with free access to computers and high-speed Internet for personal use, supporting everyday needs such as homework completion, job searches, online applications, and remote work. In addition to open access, the Computer Technology Center offers structured computer classes that range from basic computer literacy to advanced instruction in a variety of software programs, empowering individuals to build confidence and proficiency in today’s digital environment.

MACAC is also proud to serve as a community partner with Comcast through its Lift Zones initiative. As a designated Lift Zone, the Computer Technology Center provides a safe, welcoming space with free Internet access and hundreds of hours of educational and digital skills content to support online learning and workforce development. These resources benefit students, families, adults, seniors, and veterans alike—helping users complete schoolwork, advance careers, access healthcare services, participate in telehealth appointments, and receive personalized assistance through Digital Navigators. Together, these offerings strengthen digital equity and ensure community members have the tools and support needed to succeed in an increasingly connected world.
