The Mount Ararat Community Activity Center, Inc. (MACAC) was established in 1990 with a strong commitment to supporting Pittsburgh families and individuals through meaningful outreach and community engagement. Since its founding, MACAC has served as a trusted neighborhood resource, providing programs, services, and information that respond to real community needs. Through collaboration with organizations and partners vital to the community, MACAC works to create opportunities that promote stability, growth, and long-term success for the families it serves.

MACAC serves the entire family—from infants to seniors—through a diverse range of programs. These include the Early Childhood Development Center, Afterschool Program, Middle and High School Mentoring, Youth Summer Day Camp, Computer Technology Center, Food Pantry and Clothing Bank, Health and Wellness Programs, Fine Arts and Music Academy, and a comprehensive Seniors Program. Together, these offerings provide enrichment, skill development, academic support, and essential services that enhance quality of life and encourage lifelong learning.
Located at 745 North Negley Avenue in the Highland Park neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, MACAC operates from a secure, 38,000 square-foot renovated former school building designed to support a wide variety of activities. The facility features abundant classroom and office space, conference rooms, a full-size gymnasium, cafeteria, commercial kitchen, fitness room, music room, art studio, music and movement dance room, STEM classroom, library, computer technology center, music recording studio, and secured outdoor play areas. In addition to hosting its own programs, MACAC makes space available for meetings and special events and leases select areas to commercial tenants, including a community health center—further reinforcing its role as a vibrant community hub.
