Camp Harambee
Camp Harambee is an eight-week summer day camp designed to provide children ages 5–14 with a safe, engaging, and enriching environment. The program offers a well-rounded experience that blends educational, cultural, recreational, and creative activities to support each child’s academic, social, and personal development. Through hands-on learning, arts and crafts, games, and collaborative group projects, campers are encouraged to explore their interests, build confidence, and form positive relationships with peers and mentors.
Camp Harambee also introduces youth to meaningful service-learning opportunities that foster responsibility, teamwork, and community engagement. The program emphasizes family connection, literacy development, cultural awareness, and computer literacy, ensuring that learning extends beyond the classroom. By combining education with fun and purpose, Camp Harambee helps prepare youth for continued success while cultivating curiosity, pride, and a strong sense of community.
Throughout the program, campers participate in a variety of enriching activities, including arts and crafts, swimming, character development, African drumming and dance, environmental science, robotics, and visual arts. The camp experience is further enhanced through regular field trips, health and wellness programming, and engaging performances and workshops led by community partners. Campers are provided with daily meals and snacks to support their health and well-being, creating a comprehensive summer experience that nurtures the whole child.
2026 Camp Harambee will be held from June 22, 2026 to August 14, 2026, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Camp Harambee's rates are $260.00/week, and subsidies are accepted. VIEW 2026 CAMP FLYER or REGISTER TODAY
